Opera Limited, the developer of Opera browser has unveiled that its native browser AI has reached more than 1,000,000 users since becoming available to the users of the Opera Browser for Android and Opera Browser for desktop.
Opera swiftly integrated AI into its products
A collaboration with OpenAI, Opera integrated the ChatGPT platform along with ChatSonic into the browser’s sidebar since the turn of the year. Opera also developed its own new AI solutions. In May, Opera took a bold new step in its AI services with Aria browser. The browser is an AI built on Opera’s engine. It is based on several Large Language Models such as Generative Pre-trained Transformer built by OpenAI. It is an AI language model to comprehend, proceed and respond to users’ questions by using natural language. Co- CEO Lin Song said;

“As encouraging as the initial adoption of Aria has been, we are equally pleased with the quality of the users’ early engagement with the AI tool. We are also seeing a lift in total time spent, with increased searches and pageviews per session.”
Opera has made Aria and AI services in general are critical to its strategy going forward. The company also is in the process of developing a newly redesigned flagship desktop browser called harbinger. Opera highlights that the new flagship will become a new era of AI-based browsing. It will not only create, the new model will also build the groundwork for the AI services that Opera is planning to unveil soon.
Aria is now available in Opera One and in Opera for Android. To use Aria users should download Opera for Android or Opera browser for desktop and log in using their Opera account.
